Thinking of running for office as a Democrat for a local office or state office?

 

Qualifying papers are due for all offices on the date in early 2022 chosen by the Alabama Democratic Party: 

• We will publish the qualifying deadline date are when it's set.

• State-wide, Federal and Democratic National Convention Delegate qualifying papers and qualifying fees (checks) are due in Montgomery at 5 pm on the deadline date at Alabama Democratic Headquarters (www.aldemocrats.org and http://sos.alabama.gov/alabama-votes/candidates/candidate-resources for info.)

  • Fees are 2% of the positions' salary

  • DNC Delegate fee is $50

  • Applications must be notarized
