Our neighbors to the West of us, The Limestone County Democrats, in partnership with Athens State University and the Association of University Women (AAUW), will sponsor an “Education and Legislative Policy Town Hall Meeting/Forum. Tuesday, December 01, 2015, at the Athens State University Ballroom, from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM.
A number of guest panelists, including some from our state legislature, have been invited and are waiting to answer your questions about what concerns you about the current actions that have been taken towards the education system in the state of Alabama.
Students, parents, educators and the business community, this is intended to be and educational opportunity that will clarify the complex issues concerning policy, budgeting appropriations and what impact it will have in the classroom.
After the discussions, of some of the basic topics, the public will have the opportunity to submit questions to the moderator to present to the panelist. Refreshments will be available.
This is a great opportunity to meet the people who have an influence on your child’s education and to “get the facts” and have an input! Come on down and get involved!!
